What was your dream birthday party as a kid?
Mine was definitely pink, sparkly and very girly. Being a 90s kid, there had to be CDs, Top of the Pops magazines and boy band posters, naturally. And as for the nibbles, we’d have ring pops, fairy sandwiches (remember those?), Hubba Bubba, Nerds, Chuppa Chups, the whole lot. It definitely brought back a couple of nostalgic and cringe throwbacks!
This shoot is inspired by my inner kid’s dream birthday party and a collaboration with food stylist Emma Duncan and baker extraordinaire Nikki of Sneaky Beets (who made the epic frilly retro cake). I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did creating it.
