Hi, I’m Alexis a commercial and editorial food photographer working in the UK.
I shoot for a variety of brands across the country from start ups to household names, in my signature bold, minimal and feminine style.
Open creative collaboration plays a large part of my process, whether it’s working with a client, an agency or crew. I approach each job with enthusiasm and fine attention to detail.
More than a decade of experience in the creative industry informs my knowledge of brand, creative direction and visual communication. All of which contribute to my unique approach to food photography.
My food photography featured in The Independent newspaper and some of my previous clients include
- Dobbies Garden Centre
- Old Pulteney Distillery
- Caisteal Chamuis
- Mimi’s Bakehouse
- Tea Scotland
- Edinburgh Butter Co.
I am available for hire for food photography studio shoots, on-location shoots as well as remote shooting.
For examples of my food photography please see my portfolio.

Favourite colour to photograph
For so long I was in denial, but I have to say it’s pink. My favourite doll growing up was called Pinky and I’m easily spotted in a crowd from my neon pink coat.
Chocolate chips from the packet and peanut butter from the jar.
Trashy American TV. Selling Sunset, Love is Blind, you name it!
Unusual thing about me
Despite being born in a warm country, I like British weather. And feel slightly betrayed when it gets too warm!
Alexis is our go-to photographer for big calendar events, website photography and food styling advice. From the beginning, Alexis had an instant and intuitive understanding of our brand identity and values and was able to give a wide choice of options to suit various budgets and levels of food styling.Rebecca, Mimi’s Bakehouse
We collaborated with Alexis to gain some high quality recipes and photographs for our website and product listings, having spotted some of her previous work which we loved.
The work was sensational, our brief of creating lifestyle shots was followed perfectly, keeping in good contact and checking things to make sure things were to our liking. The final shots were outstanding, to a real top quality standard!Keiran, Merryhill Mushrooms
We worked with Alexis on our charity project The Food Fighters…The contributors who had recipes shot by her were over the moon and the images really capture what the project is all about. We would highly recommend working with her.Gemma, Food Fighters
