This still life photography project explored playful visual interpretations of common food-related sayings. We had fun re-imagining them as a series of quirky still-life compositions, using our favourite vintage kids books as our inspiration.
This project was brought to life with the help of an incredible team. Prop stylist Ambra Castelli crafted the beautifully quirky sets, really honing in the childlike aesthetic with toys and play food, while food stylist Ola Diachenko brought charm and precision to each edible element. From “spill the beans” to “a tough nut to crack” each composition invites you to look twice, and to connect the visual with the saying.
